Joan Albright

Founder/Violin

Joan Albright founded Huntington Center for Performing Arts in 2005 as a home for Long Island Ballet Theatre (LIBT), which is a non-profit organization dedicated to presenting full length professional productions that provide performing opportunities for emerging students as well as professional performers. Joan attended St. Johns Law School and during her time there, formed her band "Kitch" where she was the lead singer. She also served her community as a corporate lawyer for over 25 years. In 2008 Joan purchased Huntington Suzuki Music School which has been a fixture in  Huntington Village since the 1980's. Joan served as President of LIBT for 10 years and in this time produced countless productions such as Coppelia, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and more as well as created Gala performances featuring dancers from New York City Ballet. She also served as Vice President for Long Island Dance Consortium for over 10 years. Currently she is a violin teacher at the Center and oversees all creative projects.
